Professional interests:

Dr. Harris spends the majority of her time providing direct clinical care in all aspects of Endocrinology including, but not limited to, type 1 and type 2 diabetes, prediabetes and preventative management, women’s health disorders including PCOS, and thyroid disease.  She thoroughly enjoys teaching and working with residents and endocrinology fellows in this clinical setting.  In addition, she has joined the clinical research team at UNC Diabetes Care Center, and is the primary investigator for the LEADER trial.  In this role, she is continously impressed with the commitment and hard work of the many members of the clinical research team who together are responsible for the succuss of the clinical trials.

Personal interests:

Hiking, biking, kayaking, swimming, playing violin, reading, cooking and eating with friends and family.
